Victoria, BC Canada - Day 10
Due to rough seas and almost a full sea day, our final stop was in Victoria, B.C., for a few hours, right around sunset. Because we didn’t have much time and the port was so far away from the city, we decided to jump on a bus and ride in for a quick walk around the downtown area. There are some pretty interesting buildings near where they dropped us off and a beautiful harbor overlook. On either side of the harbor sits the British Columbia Parliament buildings, and on the other is The Empress Hotel.
Here are some great shots of the popular British Columbia Parliament buildings lit up at night. Overlooking Victoria's majestic Inner Harbour, the Parliament Buildings and surrounding areas are located in the traditional territories of the Lekwungen people.
Across the street sits the Empress Hotel, one of Victoria's oldest hotels. It was opened in 1908 and faced the harbor so anyone entering Victoria could see its beauty. It took four years to build and has had several renovations since opening its doors, but it still has been able to keep its charm.
